- Quarterdeck bought StarNine
- Seagate bought Connor.
- Silicon Graphics bought Cray Research.
- Packard Bell bought Zenith, which means crappy computers with good monitors.
- Spindler resigns from Apple, replaced by Gil Amelio - National Semiconductor's "Captain
Comeback."
