Does your Software support...?

With the introduction of a new processor generation the introduction of new software becomes mandatory. The reason for this is simple: what good do a fast PowerPC and the advantages of a new operating system do you if your software only runs via an emulation without taking advantage of any of the new features?

As chances for an emulation becoming available are currently quite low anyways, software-houses are forced to offer new versions of their software that support p.OS and/or the PowerUP boards.

You as a user have to ask each of those software-houses whether the software will support the new operating system or this and that accelerator-board in the future.

A remedy to this problem is the ANSI-C/C++ developer environment StormC. This programming language places in the hands of software-houses a tool that makes them fit for all current and future developments. Program development using StormC guarantees problem-free adaption of the software e.g. for the alternative operating system p.OS for 68K-Amigas as well as for the new computers by PIOS that are, as you'll surely know, equipped with a PowerPC processor. Also, the capabilities of the PowerUP dual-processor board by phase 5 are fully exploited.

The question you should ask software houses is: "Do you develop using StormC?"

If you receive a positive answer to this question, you can rest assured that an excellent adaption of the software has been undertaken and you can order an update.

Simply look for the quality-seal on the box and in advertisements for the respective product and you will surely make no mistake in buying this software.
