Foundation Screenshot Foundation is one of the biggest prospects for the Amiga ta the moment. I'm sure most of you know what it is about, if not then check out my previous Foundation article. Since I wrote that quite a bit has happened on the progress front and the game is now nearly 75% complete.

There have been quite a few additions to the game, however, the biggest piece of news is probably the fact that the game will now be published by Sadeness Software. Sadeness Software are the makers of such excellent CD's as 'Women on the Web' and the 'AGA Experience' series. Foundation will, however, be there first entry into the games market.

Due to Sadeness' experience in the CD market Foundation will now be released on CD-ROM format first, with maybe a disk version to follow afterwards. The CD version will contain at least 50 Meg each of both graphics and speech. Contrary to what has been said by other publications the game does not require 4 Meg to run, but it is reccommened. The game will actually run with only 1Meg of Chip RAM and 1Meg of any other RAM.

New features that have been include include CyberGFX Support (And possibly AHI), shadow/dark area system had been re-written, it is now muach faster although it doesn't quite look as good. Hopefully the player will be able to choose between the new faster system or the old better looking system. It is also planned to include Serial link and TCP support which I'm sure will please many people with Internet access.

The game is becoming so detailed that each person has specific details such as health, morale, age and their own names. Another example of the depth is the way that you can give eack person different orders such as go home, attack a building, rob, loot and even go to a hospital to rest.

Hopefully if all goes to plan the full game will be with us in October time, with demos available in a couple of months.
