Title: XtraMath 5.1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script that is "a math and variable enhancement to mIRC that gives you some enhanced mathematical functions and identifiers not built into mIRC 5.7 and later." I have to first point out that I wasn't the one who actually reviewed the script. A friend of mine, MIMP did it. This review is basically a summary of what he thought of the script. Extensive documentation explains the various fuctions of the addons. I do not recommend this addon for newbies or even experienced non-scripters. I don't think that you will find much use for it. The addon appears to work just fine. Most of is not all appears to work. The commentaries are done mostly on the coding itself. It would have been nice if the author could have used a *.mrc file instead of an *.ini file. That would allowed people to look at it more easily outside of mIRC. Title: ZeNeTh FileServ Helper 5

Format: Win OS

Description: Fileserver viewing script. Basically intercepts a fileserver connection and uses a dialog window to represent all the information while allowing you to easily perform commands through buttons instead of typing them all out. Quite a number of features, such as checking if you have a file already or not, different views of the dialog in question (compact, minimal, maximized, etc.) and so on ... Very nice documentation. The addon boasts of a readme file, a windows *.hlp format file and also some internal documentation/helping tips. The addon is easy to install, possessing an install.mrc file, etc. Once a fileserver window is established, it kicks in automatically. While most of the addon appears to work, I did run into a few errors. A lot of them are related to icon files, example: "* /dialog: 'zeneth-Config-Misc' invalid table, in 'icon' 40 (line 123, zen-exp4.mrc)". Title: ZeNeTh FileServer Explorer 5.02

Format: Win OS

Description: Fileserver viewing script. Basically intercepts a fileserver connection and uses a dialog window to represent all the information while allowing you to easily perform commands through buttons instead of typing them all out. Quite a number of features, such as checking if you have a file already or not, auto-sending files once your credit is low, etc. The script has very nice documentation, even with its own windows help file. Setup instructions are included the readme file. You can also access the help file through the addon's popups. My main complaints about this script is that the dialog windows are too big. If I chose to browse the fileserver through the dialog interface then the dialog is too big for my screen (resolution currently set to 600x800). Also, the script has a lot of custom windows and dialog windows here and there. After a while, you don't even know where to put them anymore - there are so many of them, save for closing some. Title: Zmodems Auto-Join 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon with dialog interface that allows you specify a list of channels for a given server (or server extension. E.g.: dal.net would work for sodre.dal.net, splitrock.dal.net, etc.). The addon has a nice readme file and is fairly complete. The addon is easy to install and the dialog can be accessed from the menubar, status or channel popups. It actually pops up the first time that you start using the script though. The dialog is nicely done, using mIRC's new ability to add menus. The script appears to work pretty well. So there are no complaints there. In addition to an on/off switch, you can chose to join one or several of the channels on your list anytime by clicking on the "Join selected channels" list. However, I do believe that there should have been more error checking. You can get an error message by attempting to add a channel before you enter a server. Title: Zmodems Channel Statistics 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script with dialog interface that displays the channel statistics. You can chose to have the dialog window as a desktop window. Very nice readme file with detailed setup instructions, a description of the features available in the script, contact information, etc. The script is easily installed and can be used through the channel popups. It displays the total number of people, ops, voices, people that are away and IRCops. While running through the script I didn't encounter any bugs. It seemed to work quite well! =) At this point in time, it's still a bit simplistic but the author did list a number of things that he plans to do in the future. Something that I would like to see would be a feature that would allow you to copy & paste. And maybe something that shows up the number of helpers for IRCnet (I think it was IRCnet at least ^_^) The coding is good, local aliases, well chosen variable names, clean and easy to read. A very nice first version.
