Title: Uptime Mirc 2.6

Format: Win OS

Description: A computer statistics script that offerings various information including mIRC uptime, computer uptime, free diskspace. You can also display the information continually. There are simply heaps of stats options to choose from. The readme was a bit weird, it wanted me to disable my warnings which isn't needed. The script's setup is done with a dialog and it lets you customize the colour scheme that is used when you display your stats. Unfortunately no option was given to have NO background colour, eek! In terms of bugs, the script went nuts if I entered letters instead of numbers when it wanted me to enter seconds. There really needed to be some kinda error checking. Apart from that the code is quite nice, no real gripes. A fairly good effort, I feel that the script would benefit if more than just uptime information was provided.

Title: Volume Control 1

Format: Win OS

Description: An addon that allows you to control your volume within mIRC using the new /vol command. The addon does not have any readme or documentation that explain how to load and how to use the addon. To start using the addon, you use the command /volume and it will popup a dialog with UP and DOWN button. Each button increase or decrease the volume by 500. There are also 3 buttons, "Low" "Medium" and "High". The coding is okay, no major bugs or errors. Oh yeah, the author called this a snippet instead of an addon :) It is small.

Title: VoteBox

Description: VoteBox is a simple voting booth for mIRC that will allow you to basically vote on certain things in channels that you are on. Intrigued by the idea, since I've always liked voting booths, I took a hard look at this addon. The documentation was informative, and gave some information on how to use this addon and what it was that it actually did. Unfortunately, some of the bugs and lack of error checking brought down my 'vote' for this booth. First off, if you are not on a server and you try to start a vote, you will get this: * /msg: not connected to server (line 30, vote.mrc). But, then again, this could easily be overlooked. I found a major problem, as the addon does not work at all for me. If I put in '30' as the vote time, it quickly says the vote was opened, then it closes it. I even tried 100000 as 100,000ms for the booth (or 100 seconds), but even then it closes. After countless tries, I decided to click the 'Apply' button before I opened a vote. Sure enough, it worked. Title: W3 Addon - Mass Text Protection 1

Description: Simple addon that kicks on a certain number of characters in a single line of text. The author made sure that his addon would be easily accessable by either pressing F8, typing /masstext or going into the menubar popups. A little suggestion I have would be to check if the function key F8 was already alias'ed out to something else or not. These days, a lot of scripts already have them programmed. A dialog popups with a simple menu. You may choose to turn the script on/off, the max amount of text and the time that you should ban the offending user. It also contains a button that allows you to open the script's help file. A little more error/settings checking might be advisable. Even if you set the number of seconds of the ban to 0, the ban will still go into effect for a few seconds. In addition, the script should probably have a minimum number of characters (at the moment, you can put 0, which is simply silly ). The script itself works very well. Description: Curious little addon script that has your mIRC notify/watch list behaving like ICQ. W84u actually stands for "Wait for you". Different themes available. This is a *French* addon. Once again, the external documentation is very brief, containing the steps of how to install the addon and nothing else. It would have been nice for the author to at least include a description of what exactly this addon does in the txt file. :) Once loaded, the script is easy to use. Everything is set up through custom windows and dialog windows. There are two schemes available initially and you can chose to download others from a given website. The internal documentation is supplied through a dialog window and is very complete, giving a description of the script in addition to instructions on how to manipulate its various functions, a comparision between ICQ and W84u, etc. I found that the addon seemed to work rather well.
