Description: Interesting mIRC addon that creates a toolbar right next to your real mIRC toolbar (custom window) and displays the most recent event on it. In the author's words, this script is useful when "you are deep in converstion with someone , you probably won't have the power to snap to all the other windows to see whats going on", so this script will give you an idea as to what is going on in the other channels. It also has the ability to allow you to set an "alarm" clock. The documentation is very nice, including setup instructions, a description of what it does, contact information, various tips for other scripts, update/versions type of list, etc. The installation is easy, however, I find it a pity that you cannot put the addon into its own directory or into any other directory than the main mIRC one. Title: Small Away 1.2

Format: Win OS

Description: A very small away addon with a low amount of features and footprint. Logging is supported. The script itself is easy enough to install, and its usage is through the channel or menubar popups. I had no problems using the script, although I did get a /run error when I tried to open an away log that did no exist. Error checking is not a main point of this script (which was based on a 'smallest script' competition). Configuration is also not a main point here either. If you set away, your nick automatically changes to have an [away] at the end, and the away message always goes into all channels. The coding is good, minus a small lack of error checking and overuse of else statements. Overall, this script isn't much to look at, except maybe if you were interested in a low footprint script that doesn't require in-depth knowledge to use.

Title: Sockets Utility 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Very nice addon with dialog interface. Using sockets, this script servs as a downloader (for html, zip, jpg, etc. files), as a dictionary and also looks up information from Internic. The addon has a informative readme file, popups and dialogs support, making it very easy to use. There's actually not much to comment one. Everything seems to work fine. The file downloader will attempt to download a file eventhough it doesn't exist. Perhaps there should be some kind of error checking for that from the author. In addition, with Internic, even if you look up a non-existant domaiddress, you will still have most of your editbox filled with the Internic disclaimer. Any chance of changing that? The code is clean and easy to read. There's not much to comment on, except for the fact that the author could have used local aliases :) Practical utility, definitely worth a try.

Title: Sokoban 1.2

Format: Win OS

Description: Very cute little game which consists of a little man that has to push various boxes into spots with a red dot on them. Once all the red dots have been occupied, you move up to the next level. 33 levels available. Well, the documentation is nice with setup instructions and all the rest. The author even gives you instructions on how you can create levels on your own. The game is played through a custom window and you have the option to load and save games (with 10 available slots), jumping levels, redrawing a level, trying the level, etc. Very nice. I didn't encounter any bugs while playing. Everything seems to be very well done with a combination of custom windows, dialogs and popup menus. The coding is great as well. I recommend that you give this a try.

Title: SonicSlots 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Very simple game played through private message (all replies are sent via notice). The game will give you the set amount of 500 tokens to bet with at the beginning. You may place a bet at which the script will rattle off three random numbers between 1 and 8 in a row. If there are 3 that are the same, you gain double the amount that you have bet. If there are two numbers that are the same, you gain the amount that you have bet and if all the numbers are different then you lose the amount. Very brief readme file that gives you the basic steps for setting up the script. From that point on you can enable/disable it through the popup menus found in the channel windows. The script is not actually able to follow you with your score if you happened to change nicks. However, more than one person can play at a time. It seems to work well enough even though there are some points that are irritating about the script such as the fact that it always sends out channel notices instead of channel messages. Per
