Title: Simple Away System

Description: A non-English away addon which features away logging, nick changing, auto away on idle, and some glaring advertisements. If you can read the readme file, which is not in English, then installation should be no problem. Even if you can't, there shouldn't be much problem using the script anyway... the basics are all there in easy to use popups or even a dialog if you wish. As in the other away script by this author, error checking was not present when I tried to run the non existent away logs. Apart from that, I did not encounter any real problems with this script. The coding is a bit sloppy, with the use of else {} when it really is not needed. Though I have to make a point that at least it will never display its away message in a particular help channel on DALnet.... *G*. I would have liked to have seen some sort of option to let you choose what channels you do (or don't) want to send the away message to. Title: Simple File Encryption 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Utility addon to encrypt and to decrypt files. Detailed documentation was included that instruct you on how to use the addon and how to informally modify various settings if you are inclined to do so. You have to chose a case sensitive key for encrypting the file in question. A simple custom window with a bar is used to show you how far along the encryption/decrption process is. I tried the entire script on a medium-sized *.exe file. It worked just fine. Only "bug" that I noticed with the script was that it asked you for a key even if the input file doesn't exist. The script will inform you of the invalid input file but will continue running and thereby generating a /bread error at the end. Efficient, small, easy to use. What can I say? *shrug* SoapForge has done it again.

Title: Simscript 3.3

Format: Win OS

Description: An addon that is contains a number of features designed for a type of RPG (MUD). You should like it if you are interested in Spacial battles (Star Trek, Star Wars) . You can see that a lot of effort went into this addon. It has some impressive picture windows, dialogs and popups for easily accessable menus. The documentation is also extensive. The script supports its own *.hlp file containing information about how to use the script, its different options, aliases and capabilities, information on its author, etc. The "/simconfig" command it self does work, however the files for the pictures windows do not seem to exist or did not save in the right place. There is also a small bug on the "Set location" command in the bridge section. The warp conventor and the star date do not work properly when it comes to converting back from the converted number. Title: Skins Manager 2

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script with dialog interface that allows you to set certain background themes with mIRC. Over 20 templates have been included (very nice ones too, but not created by the author). Readme file contains setup instructions and tips on how to use the script. One mistake: The author said that you can unzip the addon to any directory of your choice. That is untrue .. you *have* to unzip the files to a directory called "skins" as a subdir of your main mIRC directory - otherwise this isn't going to work. The dialog window appears to clean and you can use it to view the list of available themes and preview the images. There are some odd, blank extra lines at the end of the listbox though. Addon can automatically open dialog window upon startup if you want to. Comments/Instructions on how to use the script are echo'ed into the status window when you first start using it. Popup menus are also available. A bit more dynamic functions in the script would have been nice. The code could have been shorten

Title: SloMP3 3.5

Format: Win OS

Description: Standard MP3 playing mIRC script with features such as optional silent mode, ability to run playlists, play the last MP3 that was played (my vocabulary is incredible ;), etc. The author included some setup instructions in the readme file included with the addon. You shouldn't have any problems installing or configuring it. The settings are configured through the popup menus and the dialog windows. The addon does have a few bugs. For example, when setting the MP3 player by pressing the appropriate button in the dialog window, the path of the mp3 was not displayed as I assume it was meant to be. If you chose to run an exiting playlist, the addon does not allow you to "cancel" the file chosing dialog that pops up. Instead, it will simply run the directory in question. I also noticed that while chosing the MP3 files played, the dialog always starts back at the mIRC directory. In other words, you cannot chose your MP3 directory as a saved option.
