Has DCC Server option thata llows other people to get files from you. First of all, the author did include a readme file with setup instructions and version updates information. One thing you have to be careful about is the fact that you need to unzip all the script files into the main mIRC directory. Otherwise the addon will not work. This is quite irritating since the addon tends to generate quite a number of files. This is something that could have been easily solved wiht $scriptdir. Once loaded, you need to configure all your options through the menubar popups. This can also get quite tedious since you have to return to the popup menu over and over again. Description: Typical MP3 addon script with dialog interface that allows you to create a list of your mp3s (while supporting sub directories), playing a random or a specific mp3, having it send it to the channel or not in addition to the @YourNick and !YourNick MP3-file that will allow users to get your mp3 list and a specific mp3 respectively. Short readme file but with detailed setup instructions and contact information. The script is easy enough to use, the dialog interface being available from the channel popups and the dialog interface clean and easy to use. The script employs an *.exe file to get information about the mp3 that is being played, which I don't really like - it could easily be done with mIRC scripting. The addon is nicely done. Description: You could consider MPlay as a very fancy alias'ed out version of the mIRC /sound command. It not only allows you to play sound files but also you to "use" any file that that is associated or known to Windows. In other words, you could consider it as a /run command, only renamed to /sound. It has many fancy options such as the file database, where you can chose to the save certain files for easy playing later on. The script has some very nice documentation. The author took pains to write a readme file and you can also find a lot of support for nearly all the aspects of the script through a well made dialog window. You even have special sections, such as the "tip of the day". It is also fairly easy to use, boasting of a dialog console, along with popup support. You can simply start using the script with the same syntax as the /sound and the /run command. I find the script well made. Description: Interesting addon script that creates a webserver that runs off your IP address. It's basically a MP3 search engine that allows people to search through your mps, view the id tag information on them and download them if they so chose. Documentation and installation was fine - nice and easy. Readme file contains setup instructions and also a bit of help. The script itself also provides built-in assistance in a dialog interface (which also happens to be the same dialog window where you configure various aspects of the server). There's a typo in the instructions btw .. it's /search and not /seach. ;) The author tries to give you a lot of configurability by offering numerous values for a single option through drop down menus, etc. When I ran the script, it appeared to work fine - more or less. ^_^ The search engine part was fine .. it allows you to search through the mp3s based on the information contained in the various id tags. Description: Interesting addon that allows you to create a open socket on your IP which will allow people to connect to you and have you act like a BNC. Detailed readme file and nice dialog interface. You get to chose the ports that the addon will listen on. In addition, you may create a user list, which will require people to "log on" before they will be able to use your proxy server. There is also a limit for the number of people that can connect, etc. The script seems to work fine eventhough there are a few bugs. The author mentioned that you could unzip the script files into any directory .. well, the addon won't work unless it's in the mIRC one ;\ The *.bmp file would be partly responsable for that. Also, the author might include a default port number for the users. I tried to connect to a server without specifying the port number, which didn't succeed (but without echoing anything to me).
