Title: Meszy Nick Completer

Description: A small nickname completor that also takes into account of DALnet's colour blocking mode. Emphasis is on small here, but this is not a bad thing. First off, this script acts like any other nickname completer where you type "part-of-nick: text", and completes the nickname and displays it in fancy colour, or if your channel is mode +c then it is smart enough to strip out the colour so it still works - something I have not seen in many NC's before. What makes it special, at least to me, is the way you don't have to type the start of a nickname for it to complete, instead you can enter say the middle letters or the last few letters and it will still find your match. The styles that are used on the nicknames are not changeable by the user (although the script randomly chooses between a few styles), and if you enter a nick part way through your sentence, this script won't pick it up. Title: Missile Command 2 1.1

Format: Win OS

Description: Very nice addon game that allows you play "Missile Command". It's basically the old game where you shoot down the enemies who try to destroy your city. This review remains just about the same as for the previous version as this one is meant to be a fix for mIRC v5.7. I tried this addon with 5.81 and it didn't encounter any bugs while playing the game. The author included a very complete readme file with setup instructions, extended explanations of how to play, trouble shooting, contact information, etc. The addon is very easy to install and setup. Once you have, go into one of the popup menus and chose Missile command. You have the options of toggling the switch for the sound effects and of pausing the game in the middle. Everything is played in a custom window along with the mouse. Personally, I found that the game was very easy (too easy perhaps?). You don't require much attention to detail in the game since as long your ammunition explodes in the vicinity of the enemy they will be destroyed

Title: Mix -Find the Monkey 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Mix [Find the Monkey] v1.00 is an addon that basically allows you to play a game called 'Find The Monkey'. Readme file was empty, I cannot understand why :-) Once loaded up, the game will let you know that it was loaded and you can type /mix to play the game. There was error-checking to make sure that the dialogs weren't opened more than 1 time. That's really good :-) There were some problems with the addon; for example: while the monkeys are randomizing, if you close the dialog you will get errors from the timer because it was not stopped due to the dialog closing. Big 'no 'no :-) Make sure you place the readme file in the correct directory as well, otherwise it will give you this error: * /run: unable to open 'c:\mirc\reviews\11-06-00\mix\mixReadme.txt' (line 83, gmix.mrc). It's nice that the author checked to make sure that the "High Scores" table was there, I wonder why he/she did not for the ReadMe file :-) All in all, it was a pretty cool game. Title: MonDoScRiPT WEB SURF 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Small addon with dialog interface that basically starts up a search at Infoseek, Hotbot or Altavista for the words that you put in or for a combination of words that you put in. The author did include a very brief readme file, however, it's in another language (Italian?). Since most of the users on the Internet speak English, it would have been nice to have an English translation in there as well. The script itself is clearly easy to use. You can access the dialog through the popup menu in the menubar section. The only thing that I dislike is the fact that the addon has to be installed in the mIRC directory. Otherwise it will give you an error about how it cannot load the icon file. The coding is alright, eventhough most of the slashes (/) could have been removed since they are unnecessary in remotes. For what it does (which is not really much ... :\), the addon is good.

Title: MonitorThis 0.8

Format: Win OS

Description: Interesting little addon that gives you an idea of what is happening on IRC while you have mIRC minimized or are simply in another window. Also gives you some statistics about you and your current IRC session as in the longest line you've written, action/text percentages, number of times you have or have been opped, deopped, voiced, devoiced, banned or kicked, etc. The help file is made into *.htm format which is not optimal in my opinion. Some people have slow computers and it may take some time to load their browser. *grin* A normal TXT file would have done very well. Beyond that, the content of the document itself is quite sufficient, helping you with the installation, etc. The files will be unzipped into a seperate directory of mIRC called "MonitorThis". In fact, the author made the entire script dependant upon this file structure. Perhaps $scriptdir would be more appropriate in the future?
