Through a dialog window you can choose what is done with the message (ignore, shown in the active window, or in a custom window). There is also an option to write all incoming messages to a text file. You can also auto respond to messages with a certain customizable message. It also has some basic flood protection, which isn't configurable. There is an option to ignore messages except from someone who is an op or voiced. Which is useful for ops of help channels who do not want users messaging them in private.

Description: An addon that displays what mrc addon files you have in an easy to use dialog. Using this addon you can manage the files: load, unload, and even open in notepad. Simple to use. The documentation provided was nice and easy to understand, no issues installing this script =) Its features are mid range for this sort of script, with the options to load, unload, and open the files in notepad, though I must admit that other scripts that do this sort of job tend to require 'special' formats in the script or it simple won't work. The dialog used to manage the files is simple and was no fuss at all to use. The code for this script is mainly good, however I found a few //'s used in there, as well as some un-needed goto commands and even a bracket mismatch! In terms of where this addon looses marks, it doesn't use the -n switch while $read'n the script files, so it evaluates any code in the script on those top four lines. Title: Napster Search Engine 1

Description: Addon with dialog interface that allows you to start a search with Napster from within mIRC. It will open the program if it's not already open. Well, I don't have much to say about this addon, it is pretty small. It operated through a dialog window that you can access through popups in the menubar, status or channel sections. A brief readme file with setup instructions is also included in the zip file. The addon appears to do what it is supposed to. I didn't encounter any errors while running the script. However, there are two things I'd like to comment on: Instead of using $mircdir in the script, it might be better to try $scriptdir. Secondly, the addon appears to have erased my settings in Napster for the search filtering (bitrate/connection/ping time), which is rather odd. Even if I open Napster now without using the script, those settings have still dissappeared.

Description: Addon that allows you to play and offer your wave files to other people. It includes a @find option, random playing, slots menu, wave grabber, etc. The addon is composed of 4 *.mrc files numbered 1 to 4. Unfortunately, the addon didn't have any documentation, so you had to go by assumptions by loading the first *.mrc file. I find that if you happen to be running version 5.51 of mIRC, then you won't have any problems. But if you run anything lower or even *higher* than that, the script will refuse to work. I suggest that the author change the argument from "!=" to "<". In addition, it was also unfortunate that you were obliged to unzip all the addon files into your main mIRC directory. Perhaps the author should consider changing the loading commands from $mircdir to $scriptdir. The script automatically asks you to chose certain settings on startup. Description: French addon script that servs as a NetSplit Detector. DIalog interface. Well, installation was pretty easy. The author has a nice documentation section inside the script and a readme file with setup instructions is provided along with the zip file.The script allows you to toggle the on/off switch, the sound effects and it also gives you the option of displaying all the server notices contrary to only the "netsplit" related ones. Well, I'm not sure as to what network this script is written for, but the addon doesn't work with DALnet. The documentation or the readme file also didn't specify that the script might be network specific. I sat through two netsplits (a leaf sendq exceeded), once on a hub and once on a normal client server. The addon did set you to +s but didn't do anything when the leaf split. :\ After waiting for an hour and a half for a netsplit on DALnet, I didn't feel like doing that on Undernet or EFnet, sorry ...
