Title: Gnomes Port Scanner 1

Description: A basic port scanner for mirc. The script opens a dialog that allows you to specify a start port, an end port, and an IP. The script will then scan all the ports in the specified range and display any open ports in a listbox. The addon works well, it allows you to halt a scan midway through, and remembers the last port so that you can resume later, which is a nice touch. The coding can't really be faulted, the author did a bit of error checking, and I couldn't find any real bugs. The author supplied a readme file with installation and contact information.

Title: HTML Editor and Previewer 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script that is designed to work like NotePad, allowing you to preview a HTML file that you are in the process of working on through a dialog window. You have to specify a browser. The addon allows you to open an existing file, create a new file, save a file, preview it or close the window. The author included a pretty complete readme file with installation and usage instructions, in addition to other misc. information. Very nice documentation. :) The dialog itself is clean and the editbox used to write HTML suitably large (perhaps a bit too large?). From what I can tell, the script seems to work reasonably fine. A bit more error checking is really suggested however. Currently, it always gives errors if you chose the "Cancel" option when asked to chose a browser, chose a filename, etc. Perhaps it would also be possible for the author to add a few more options such as shortcuts for various characters (such as hardspace?). At the moment, personally I would just prefer using Notepad, save it

Title: HTML-EditPad 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script that allows you to write/edit HTML through a dialog interface. It allows you to specify a browser in order to preview pages that you have made or use Internet Explorer. It's also possible to chose among several prewritten frame layouts and then continue writing whatever you want .. which is essentially what differenciates it from Notepad. The readme file appears to be filled mostly with version information and credits. ;o) However, when you first install the script, it will tell you how to open the main dialog interface which allows you to write/edit webpages. The dialogs (there's another one for the frames that you can chose from) are clear and and easy to understand. I find that there's too much space at the bottom of the first one, but it doesn't really matter. I didn't encounter any bugs while using the addon. I do have a few suggestions/feature requests though. ;o) Firstly, it would be nice to be able to have wordwrap for the dialog's HTML editing section. In the case of acci

Title: HTTP Downloader 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon with informative dialog interface that allows you to download files from servers running httpd. You use the script with the /http command or the popup menu available. The addon is nice documentation with installation instructions, a description of the script and various notes on its limitations. IMHO, the author also got a little carried away and started talking about the coding aspect of this addon. It's quite interesting though, people don't usually do that. Makes for a change of scene. *grin*. The addon allows you to set the maximum amount of downloads at a single time. The first few tries that I made with the script didn't work. It appears that the server on help.dal.net is too outdated or something. ;\ However, the addon did work very well on the other files that I tried. The coding, as usual, is very nicely done. Title: Hash Table Editor 1.3

Format: Win OS

Description: This is a Hash Table editor for scripters only to edit/view mIRC 5.8's newest data storage method: Hash Tables. There is a small documentation telling the use of the addon and the bug fixes. The addon is quite easy to use via a nice, clean dialog interface. The author could have possibly used menu's for some of the optons, but this is not a big issue; Maybe in a later version? The author uses lots of error checking and good scripting methods such as local aliases, and local varaibles. Also, he puts comments in almost every alias in the addon. This is a great example of how scripts should be coded. All in all, this is a very good tool for viewing and managing hash tables. Recommended.
