Title: Connect4 game 2

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script that allows you to play with another IRC'er. Basically consists of getting 4 tokens of your colour aligned, out of 7 colums with 6 rows each. (I'm sure that most of us have played this when we were younger ;) The author wrote a fairly detailed readme file with setup instructions and a description of the game along with the various aspects of the addon. The script is easy to install and a game can either be hosted or connected to. Both popup menus and an alias is available. Additional options, such as Skins, can be accessed through a popup menu (right-click) in the "Options" section of the custom window that displays the game board. There doesn't appear to be any built-in way of cancelling a request. If you close the game window, you will simply get a message of "**** Current game isn't finished yet ... are you going to loose or what ???". Title: Control Panel 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon that consists of popup menus in the nicklist that allow you to op/deop/voice/devoice/ban/unban/kick users. The author wrote a nice and original helpfile eventhough there were some spelling and grammar mistakes. Understandable, especially if English is not their first language. The popups are clear with nice descriptions. They are all dynamic, checking if you are opped or not in order to show itself, if the user if opped/deopped/voiced/devoiced, etc. The script works well. The only complaints that I have is that it autokicks someone when you choose "Ban" and that it doesn't automatically update your IAL when you first join a channel. The IAL is used in sections of the script where you ban a user by a specific masktype. In addition, if you choose "Unban" from the menus, the addon will unban a set masktype and will not check the entire banlist for all the addies matching the specific user. The coding is well done and as I said before, I especially like the fact that everything is dynamic. N

Title: Control de Kaos 3.1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon script with dialog interface that appears to allow you to easily send commands to a service called "Kaos". The script has popups which allows you to go to the network where this service is available. It's a mix between a NickServ-typish bot and an eggdrop. Please note that this is a Spanish script and that the network also appears to be Spanish. First off, I would just like to note that the "packing" of this addon was not very well done. The actual remote file is around 13KB. But the author made it into an *.exe file and it the size has risen up to 30KB. No other files are included. Some instructions (mainly contact information) are included at the top of the remote file. No setup instructions. However, once loaded, the script does not appear to be difficult to use. The dialog interface gives you access to two types of commands - Services type and eggdrop type. The presentation is clean and pleasing to the eye. Title: CoolChat Addon 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Socket script used to connect to the IRC server Irc.MegaIRC.Net on port 6667.Everything is done via a custom window. The script is reasonably well done, however, there are bugs such as the fact that the script doesn't allow you to receive notices from services or other people. In addition, once you have typed /quit in the custom window and it has closed, you'll still get error messages because the sockets have not been properly closed.

Title: CounselloRs Top 10 Music Charts 1

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon that allows you to set 10 mp3s (with author/song name information) in a "chart". You may also specify a certain status for the files: "Got" or "Needed". You may also specify a mp3 file along with a mp3 player for the files that you do have. Advertising and Colour settings are configurable. The author included a rather extensive help file in *.rtf (rich text file) format. It has the setup instructions in addition to a fairly clear description on all the various options of the addon. You can access the script by using the channel popups. They are fairly clear and easy to understand. However, the addon obliges you to install the script into a subfolder of mIRC called "top10", otherwise it will start returning errors. It would have been better to simply use $scriptdir and allow the user to chose the directory in which the addon is installed.
