THE COACH
Rene Simoes
Charismatic Brazilian who has transformed the fortunes of Jamaican football since his appointment as technical director in October 1994. A professional coach for more than 20 years, including spells with the Brazilian Under-20 and Under-23 sides, he was worked at Guimaraes in Portugal and won championships in Qatar with two different clubs. A devout Christian, Simoes has 'Jesus Saves' emblazoned on his Reggae Boyz shirt.

Veteran captain who commands deep respect throughout Jamaican football. Is hoping to move to Europe after the World Cup.
