MEDAL MUDDLE
Can you help? I believe that the medals presented to Bristol City in error were, in fact, the Division One Runner-Up medals. I heard this through various sources on the Watford Mailing List. If I am wrong, perhaps you could let me know.
Paul Green, Bethlehem, Connecticut, USA, New England Watford Fan Club - Member #1
Dead right, Paul. Clearly some folk thought the Robins deserved an extra boost for their performances this season. Anyone know of any other classic admin. cock-ups? Let us know at the usual address

YOU BETTER YOU BET
Any chance of including a betting section for next season (or even by the World Cup)? It's a pain in the neck trying to get five bookies' fixed odds via Teletext. If there were some way to display the odds of the major bookies on your newspaper, that would be brilliant. Also, for spread bet fans like me, an up-to-date listing of Premiership players' shirt numbers would be fantastic. Just a couple of thoughts, but the paper's great anyway. Cheers!
John Halksworth
Every chance, John. We're working on some top-level betting info right now. Expect it very soon

ALL COMPLIMENTS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED
I just thought I would drop you a line to congratulate you on the launch of Football365. I have been a subscriber for around three months now and, without wanting to sound like a pompous idiot, F365 has definitely made life worth living for this US-based Yorkshire expat (the wife and daughter notwithstanding, of course...)
Your match reports knock spots off the Telegraph and Times websites and the news sections are always worth a read. Unbelievably for the sporting fraternity within the British media, you also seem to be able to put a sentence together. I'll keep my fingers crossed you can attract enough advertising support to help F365 prosper. For what it's worth to your advertisers; I would personally purchase any old crap that was brought to my attention on F365. Not exactly a 24-carat endorsement, but it may come in handy if Ratners ever consider targeting the international jetset via the online sports press...
My only suggestion or, more precisely, request would be that you consider upping the news coverage of the Second and Third Divisions (and the GM Conference, for that matter). From a purely selfish point of view, I am a lifelong long-suffering Rotherham United fan (In fact I still try to coincide my UK visits with the football season) but I also have a morbid fascination with other 'have-not' clubs in similar sad situations to ourselves. Since I, like my brethren at Millmoor and many other clubs, don't tend to take the concept of sporting success too seriously, it would appear that your writers would have licence to take a much more humorous view of proceedings in the so-called 'lower' divisions than your average thin-skinned Premiership fans seem prepared to put up with.
My favourite F365 news story so far was the one about John Beck's sacking at Lincoln, due allegedly in part to him terrorising the Imps' YTS trainees. You can't make that sort of stuff up! As I saw the Millers play at Sincil Bank over Christmas and had the pleasure of witnessing a Beck touchline wobbly, this story gave me no end of pleasure. Please can we have more of the same?
Guy Holroyd, Cortlandt Manor, NY, USA
Cheers for the compliments Guy. We're beavering away on upping our lower league content for the start of next season, so please bear with us as we try to increase what is already a huge volume of work. John Beck still isn't working in football, but doubtless he'll be back somewhere, sometime!

FOOTBALL365 ‘POTENTIALLY INTERESTING' SHOCKER
When issuing news and information from your new and potentially interesting site, would you bear in mind the fact that the total attendances at Vauxhall Conference matches from week to week are often as much as, and sometimes greater than, the whole of the Scottish First, Second and Third Divisions added together. I'm sure you are aware of the increasing public interest and awareness of the English 'Fourth Division' and that this will be reflected in the priorities and contents of your site. Simply printing results, although welcome, is hardly adequate as I notice that the Scottish lower divisions have a 'round up' section while the Vauxhall Conference does not! Your assurance on this matter would be welcome.
GA Bowles
Thanks for your beautifully-worded letter, Mr. Bowles. Glad to hear you think the site is ‘potentially interesting'. See above for our plans on lower league coverage

ALDO NO GO!
John Aldridge, who's scored 474 goals in his career, retired from playing football the other day and all you give him is a poxy little grey box underneath some insignificant news story. Wakey! Wakey!
This man is a great. If he'd finished his career at Forest or Middlesbrough, no doubt you would have allowed a whole page for him, but no, it's 'little' Tranmere, so all he gets are a few lines. This man has scored more goals than any other player in this country. Does that mean nothing to you? I thought this was a football paper? Well go on then, do some reporting. This bloke isn't a reformed alcoholic, he hasn't done drugs and he's represented his country with pride. The man is magnificent.
His joy at scoring goals far outweighed the pleasure Ian Wright takes in scoring. There are heroes outside the Premier League, you know. Aldo is one. He's a living legend!
Barbara Jones, Editor, Rovers Rearguard, Wirral, Merseyside
Keep your hair on, Barbara! We contacted Aldo to give him the big emotional send-off and the guy had already buggered off on holiday! Expect an interview with the bronzed, goalscoring demigod sometime soon

CAN YOU FIX IT?
What can I say? Up-to-date results and features e-mailed straight to my desktop. How did I survive without it before Football365 came along? The match reviews are excellent and the features informative and well written. Congratulations to the whole team.
I only have one suggestion - would it be possible to have a fixtures list for the following couple of weeks? It's great to be able to see today's fixtures, but it would be great to see what's coming up.
Here's looking forward to your World Cup coverage.
Mark Mergler
This is starting to sound overly repetitive, but honest Mark, we're working on this as yet another additional bonus to the Football365 service beginning at the start of next season. We're onto it, mate
