The In Shadow of Time is a new adventure game from a programming group called Shadow Elks. This is made up of only two people at the moment Henrik Smiding the coder and Mikael Pettersen doing the graphics.

The game is based around a graphics engine called System III. Development of this started way back in February 1994, with a few other projects on and off between then and now. The actual design of In Shadow of Time didn't start until January 1996, due to the actual engine being already in place, development of the game was so quick that there was a demo ready by May 1996.

The game revolves around a person called Tadpole. He accidently gets involved in a time travel accident and gets to travel to many different places at different times.

Going by the demo that was released last year the game looks very smart, it has however been improved a lot since then and there will be a new demo out soon. The specs that the Adventure system boasts are very smart. Such things as 350+ colours on screen at once, the game being fully-multitasking and OS-friendly and features like realtime shadowing and custom graphics routines all make this game system sound very exciting.

Sadly at this moment in time there is no CyberGFX support, however, if the game sell well they will make a special version. Currently the game will be coming on around 10-12 disks, at the moment there is no CD version planned, although with the recent changes in the Amiga market this could change. Obviously they are looking into releasing this game in the commercial market as there has been a lot of work put into it, currently they are looking at a Late '97 release date.

Like I said before thee should be a new demo out soon, more news as I get it...
