I'm sure many of you have heard about the Amiga version of Quake that has been floating around, if not then refer to my earlier news piece on it.

Well, things have died down recently and news on how it is going has virtually non-existant. There have been many rumours some suggesting that the author got bored, others saying that he went to university. However, there has been some interesting things being said recently that it IS still going and is up to version 0.49 and is running at 40fps on an CyberGFX, 060.

Even more interesting is the noises that are coming from Clickboom on the matter. Nothing has been said but there are rumours that Clickboom may be negotiating the commercial release of Amiga Quake with ID Software. How much truth there is in this I don't know, but considering the fact they are releasing an Amiga version of Myst, it may not be just a rumour. Only time will tell.....
