Big Red Adventure - Released.

The Big Red Adventure has been released by Power Computing. It is available for £19.99 from Power Computing themselves, it will also be available at the World of Amiga Show '97 from them and various other companies.

The Big Red Adventure was a big hit on the PC a few years ago, the actual Amiga verison of the game was finished last year but the release of it was put on hold, that was until Power Computing picked up the rights for its release a few months ago. This is why they have bben so quick in getting the game released, all the programming of the game was done.

The game will be coming on CD-ROM only which is due to the hugh amount of loacations that are in the game, all of which are in Hi-Res Laced format, this makes them look very sharp, but does create a problem with flicker when ran on an Amiga without a Monitor. Also, something that is quite odd for a PC port, The BRA takes advantage of the Amiga, not only does the game support mode promotion but it also multitasks very well. Not something to hard as a Adventure isn't exactly processer intensive but it's a nice feature to have.

As you can see from the screenshots on this oage the graphics are very detailed, although these don't really do them justice as they have been scaled down quite a lot.

There is a demo of the game available which you can download from Aminet by clicking on the link below:-

Hopefully I will have a review of the game quite soon.
