Latest: Big Red Adventure.

Last week I told you about the imminent release of the Big Red Adventure on The Amiga. Well it is now official that Power Computing will be releasing it at the 'World Of Amiga '97' show.

It will be a CD only release and will be virtually identical to the PC version of the game. The screens have been ported directly from the PC version and because of this the game can only be played in HiRes-Interlaced, tit also means that you will require AGA to run it. As for as I know there is no graphic card support which is very bad news in my opinion. Obviously the game being in interlaced format could be a little annoying for non-monitor owning Amiga owners.

The game itself consists of over 100 different locations which probably makes it the biggest Amiga adventure. In the game you take control of one of three charactors. To start off with you control only one of the charactors, but later on in the game they all join up and you can select different charactors for different parts of the game. The puzzles in the game are appartently very taxing so hopefully the game will last you a long time.

It has been a long time since the Amiga had a decent graphic adventure and this could be just what we have been waiting for, it was released on the PC quite a while ago though, and so looks a little dated. What I and many wouldn't give for the new Monkey Island to make an appearance on the Amiga....

There has been a review of the game in the recent a English print magazine CU Amiga and it got a nice reception and was awarded an overall score of 90%. Hopefully I will have a preview/review of this game for you soon..
