I think this bug is gone, now that I'm using a much more recent
ncurses.

If you see any further problems, please report them as new bugs - I'm
closing this one.

You can use ^L to get a screen refresh at any point.

I think you're seeing a bug in ncurses.  I'm going to rebuild dpkg
with the latest ncurses soon.

to packages with incorrect description layouts.  But is there some way

screen that we discussed before?
