Package: pine
Version: 3.91-2

When viewing an incoming message in my INBOX I wanted to see all the
headers. I typed `?' to get the help screen, which said amongst other
things:
 MESSAGE TEXT Screen Commands
 ----------------------------
  G Goto a specified folder
  H Full Header Mode
  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

However, when I exit help with `e' and press `h' or `H', I get:
[Command "h" not defined for this screen. Use ? for help]
[Command "H" not defined for this screen. Use ? for help]

Ian.

At least with our Pine on a Sparc10, we need to edit pine.conf and/or
pine.conf.fixed to enable all the features. Though it doesn't list a
feature unless it is activated... odd...

Jim

P.S. I think we need to remember not to dictate anything to the
software authors, as they are providing us with software without
compensation. Carefully worded suggestions yes, but I think dictating
is out.

Not strictly a bug, rather a feature. Check out the setup screens (from
the opening menu, Setup/Config). Among many other options you will find:

      [ ] enable-full-header-cmd

This will have the desired effect. There are several other useful options
that can be enabled from here. The full headers command will not appear
in the on-screen 'hints' unless it is enabled in the setups. Arguably the
fact that it features in the help screen regardless is an oversight.

Cheers,
David.

IC. Well, I'd be inclined to suggest that this option should be
enabled by default in Debian, but under the circumstances I think
that this is really a matter for the Pine package maintainer.

You might like to do something about it, though, just to save yourself
effort - otherwise other people might be likely to report it as a bug.

Ian.
