PACKAGE: cpio
VERSION: 2.3
REVISION: 2

>From the mt(1) man page:

       -V, --version
Print the version number of mt.

However, "mt -V" produces:

mt: option requires an argument -- V
Usage: mt [-V] [-f device] [--file=device] [--help] [--version] operation [count]

"mt --version" works OK.

mt --help does not work, though it appears in the Usage: information
(but not on the man page).
