Hm, I'm not working on anything too important right now, so I guess I
could write them. (It may take a little time though, for several
reasons)

The dselect I have on my computer is the one from installation disks of
Debian 0.93R6. It says in /var/lib/dpkg/available, that it's 1.0.3, but
it could propably be a typo or something there.. I'll try upgrading to a
newer dpkg.

I agree that there should be manpages. I don't have time to write
them. Volunteers gladly accepted.

Are you sure you were using dselect from dpkg 1.0.3 ? There was a bug
like this in 1.0.2, but I think I fixed it in 1.0.3.
Ian.

Hi,
I just installed Debian 0.93R6 and noticed something about it.
It seems, there are no man-pages for dselect and dpkg. They are
documented good enough internally, but in my opinion, it would be pretty
nice if as many commands as possible had man-pages, as they are the
first things one checks, when (s)he want's to learn about an unknown
command.
But I noticed a real bug too (just a little one but still annoying).
This happens when I'm selecting which packages to install with dselect.
When I press once 'o', I get to a mode where packages are ordered by
their section. Then, when I scroll the list of packages to near the
bottom, the upper part of screen suddenly stops moving (for me it
happens on package xlockmore, but it might depend, I guess). Everything
works still fine, when I push cursor keys the description of the package
at lower part of the screen changes as it is supposed to do and when I
push the up-arrow few times, things start working correctly again.
