The /etc/ntp.drift file is often updated by xntpd while it is running -
so it should probably be somewhere in /var (/var/run/ntp.drift maybe?).
Different file name may be specified in /etc/ntp.conf (driftfile <name>)
- or the default should be changed in the source.
