Package: syslogd
Version: 1.2-11
syslogd needs to be started earlier than many other daemons, and to
ensure this it should have an rc*.d S script number that is lower than
those daemons. I use 16 personally, but another number may be
appropriate.
It should also be killed late in the shutdown process, of course, so
the K scripts need a high number.
Ian.
