Did you solve your problem ?
I am quite shure that this isn't a problem of the software.

RPC == Remote Procedure Call.
The message means that the remote machine (firefly) doesn't have a
program that knows how to deal with your request.
The solution is to have 'nfsd' started on firefly before attempting
to nfs-mount the dir. My manpage says you can start it directly.

Good luck,

Package:  mount
Version:  2.1-1, 2.4-1

I have a problem trying to NFS-mount my /debian partition to another system.
Here, I have simplified this down to trying to NFS-mount /debian on the same
system that exports it. I get the same error message running this command
on either firefly.firefly.com or aurora.firefly.com.

	# mount -t nfs firefly:/debian /mnt
	mount clntudp_create: RPC: Program not registered

I tried upgrading to the latest mount, but that does not make a difference.

(Of course, it could be a stupid user error....)

(Sorry about sending this to debian-user first. Some days, it just doesn't
pay to touch a keyboard.)
