Version: 8.1-4

Sometimes when 'mail' invokes an external command such as 'emacs' for
editing or 'less' for message viewing, it hangs after the external
command is finished.  The only way to get control back is to hit
Control-Z, issue a 'kill' from the shell on the 'mail' command and try
again.  I have never seen these commands hang like this in any other
context, so I believe it is 'mail' which is hung.

I am using Debian 0.93 R5, Linux v. 1.2.11 and libc 4.6.27.
