Package: base
Version: 93R5

Some help text should be added when you "Execute Shell" during base
installation (/sbin/dinstall script, line 367). Currently, when you go to
the shell from the menu, there is no warning that the file system you are
working on is the root of the floppy, not the instlled partition.

This is a minor point for people that know unix well, but I forgot it when
I went down there looking for a partition I added /slack, and I think
others might as well. I was looking for the extra mounted partition, and I
thought it didn't work at first because I was looking in the wrong place
(/slack instead of /root/slack).

To reproduce, boot from boot and root floppies, select go to shell.

I am using Debian 0.93R5 alpha, kernel version 1.2.1 and libc 4.6.27. I
have installed ONLY the base system for testing purposes.

Cheers,
