Title: dIRC

Format: Win9x/Me/NT/2000

Description: Finally the release of the much-awaited v2 of dIRC, there does not appear to be much visually changed from 1.4 version, but, boy does this little program do a lot. It does finally support scripting languages from its own to, Perl, Python, JavaScript and VBScript. They have also advanced the skinning idea for the client via HTML/DHTML/Java/CSS. It has more features than can be counted... this is an all around awesome client... want a change from mIRC? Then give this new kid on the block a chance. Most of its annoying things can be disabled, which is helpful for those like myself whom do not like the emoticons turned into images.

Title: polaris2001v4.0

Format: Win9x/Me/NT/2000/XP

Description: Polaris IRC is a full featured IRC script. This version incorporates both CTCP & Standard Triggers, you get to choose. This version has come a long way since the release of Polaris v2.04. Comprehensive changes have been made, but the layout, and the ease of use, still remains the same. Firstly, in this version (3.04) the quits in the status bar have been removed due to a lot of demand from users. Polaris is not only just a File-Server script, as many are aware, but it also has protection and enhanced stability. Stability is a major concept that we work on due to the fact most Polaris user's run their computers for days without turning them off. The majority should agree that this version of Polaris IRC lives up to its reputation as the best file-server script ever designed..... Email Me for any Questions or Comments you may have.

Description: A simple, but well done MP3 player written for BitchX that uses mpg123. It includes the ability to specify a wildcard string so typing the full filename is not needed. It also allows you to choose a random mp3 from your mp3 directory, or continuously play one random mp3 after another. Unfortunately, I do not have a *nix machine which I can sit in front of to use, which makes it difficult to review this script as I had to go through a shell account to use BitchX. I also have very little experience and apologize to the author for any inaccuracies there may be in this review. I also apologize for the time it has taken for this script to be added/reviewed. The script itself was fairly easy to load, I simply extracted a tar ball to ~/xmp3, added a line to ~/.bitchxrc and started the client. The initial setup is done with the /mp3setup

command for specifying your mp3 directory. From there, you can use /mp3 to play an mp3, specifying a wildcard string works here so you can avoid typing ou
