Description: XDCC script that has a dialog interface for adding packets and allows you to specify the number of open slots available. No queuing system. Controllable through popups. Advertising and open slot notification optional. The script contains a readme file with setup instructions and a brief description of the various options. You can access the settings through the channel popups. A dialog is available for adding packs. I find that there are a few options missing in the script. Some more error checking would have probably also been more appropriate. At the current time, it's possible to add the same packet twice, which does not really make any sense. The information dialog for each pack only allows you to see the number of downloads but does not contain any other information such as the file size or any description you wish to add. It becomes to tedious to pick packs since the file chosing dialog starts in the main mIRC directory every time. It is not possible to delete a single packet. You either

Format: Win OS

Description: Addon that scans people for any offensive channels that they may be on and take action accordingly. The script is nicely documented through a userfriendly help file (real help file in *.hlp format). Once installed, you may choose to use the various popups available to configure the script. You can allow the addon to scan people on join or use regular channel sweeps in a timeperiod specified by you. Afterwards, through 3 function keys, you may automatically chose to warn, kick or ban them. The script works well enough and is presented very nicely through a dialog interface. However, I see a few bugs and also a few other areas that may cause problems. First of all, some of the items on the dialog itself overlap. If you modify one of the settings then it's possible that another "switch" (if we may call it that), such as a lable will lose its text etc. There are several areas that may cause problems. Title: Changed Nick Serv Identify by NeZeQ 1

Description: Changed Nick Serv Identify by NeZeQ is an addon that will allow you to add a few nicknames and their passwords to your variables list in mIRC. There is no documentation, so you may have a hard time figuring out how to use this addon. Just go to the menubar and then to Nickserv identify. Once you are in the dialog, you can configure the dialog how you see fit. Add your nicknames and passwords and you're all set. The addon will identify for your nickname when NickServ notices you. There are a few problems, however. The author only checked when nickserv notices you with *identify* and that's all. NickServ only uses that 1 time. So, if you uncheck the 'Identify on notice' in the dialog, connect, let nickserv notice you then check it, it will not identify for your nickname because nickserv will not show 'identify' any longer. There is no unload feature, so you will have to manually unload the script file, and remove all of it's variables, yourself. There is not much to comment on, the addon works o

Title: ChannelGuard 2.1

Description: Addon script that servs as channel protection. It covers: swearing, "illegal" channels, colours, background colours, bold and underline. Has a warning system, has op/voice exemption, allows you to compile a !rules text file (might make you flood you actually) in addition to a bit of a stats type of function for seeing the number of people that have been kicked/banned. The author wrote up osme installation instructions. In addition, he also provided a windows *.hlp file complete with screenshots. On the documentation section, everything is just fine and dandy. :) However, he requires you to install all the files into your mIRC directory\channelrider. This could have been avoided by using $scriptdir. The script works for the most part, at least from what I can tell. =) However, there are a few bugs and certainly a number of inefficiencies. For example, too many timer and group enabling/disabling echos are present .. they should have silenced. In addition, the ban set by the script is not very ef

Description: A nice addon for playing chess with a friend. No external programs required. The author included a nicely filled readme file with setup instructions and the like. It gives examples and also explains how the script works and what its different options are. Once loaded, you can access the menus through popups or through aliases. You can chose to host a game (the other person will have to connect to your IP address) or you can chose to join a game. The person who hosts the game decides whether they will play White or Black. You can chose to write messages to the other party, ping them, resign the game, etc. You can also chose to save the game. The script appears to work pretty well, allowing for the various special moves (e.g.: pawn becoming a queen, rook, knight or bishop if it reaches the other side - prompted through a dialog window) and also making sure that you don't do any moves which are not allowed.
