Picasso 320
The MacPicasso 320 fits in any Macintosh with a free NuBus slot. Just plug any monitor into the standard Mac-15-pin connector, or connect your VGA monitor into the standard high density 15-pin connector. That’s all! No jumpers. No adaptors. Just two connectors for your convenience. Supports Mac monitor sensing and PC monitor sensing (DDC2B also known as Windows Plug and Play.
Many different resolutions with different scan rates make it easy to find the resolutions that are most suitable for any monitor. Almost all resolutions are available with 75Hz or higher refresh rates (up to 160 Hz!), but also with lower refresh rates to get the best out of older monitors. You get millions of colours up to 832 x 624 with 2Mb or 1016 x 768 with 4Mb. Of course, you can change resolutions and numbers of colours on the fly without rebooting. The maximum resolution is 1600 x 1200 in 256 colours (interlace only).
MacPicasso’s optimised (68K and PowerPC native) QuickDraw accelerator software uses the high speed acceleration functions of the graphics controller.
