You have been waiting for a low-cost, high quality, 16 bit, STEREO sampler for your Amiga. Well... Here it is! Clarity 16 introduces the superb quality of 16 bit technology in sound sampling to the rest of us.

The cartridge contains two 16 bit Analog to Digital/Digital to analog converters to allow Stereo sound digitizing. The system can record sound from any suitable equipment such as a CD player, cassette recorder, or any 'Aux' or 'Line' level signal source via the stereo phono sockets provided. Stereo phono outputs are provided for connection to an amplifier or mixer. The hardware plugs into the Serial and Printer ports and can be used with the whole range of Amiga computers. Adding to this already amazing device, Clarity 16 also contains a MIDI interface, providing connection to keyboards, drum machines, and now, even guitars.

The Editor

The editor program provides the user with the ultimate in power and sophistication, packed with features, giving the greatest flexibility available. The fully Multi-tasking, window styled editor allows individual samples to be loaded into the computer and edited separately. The program can load samples of 8 or 16 bit format and freely conver between them.

Sample rates of up to 44.1 Khz can be used and the program can resynthesize samples to practically any other speed. Samples can be replayed through the stereo 16 bit cartridge output, or played through the standard Amiga output using advanced algorithms to obtain an incredible sample resolution of 14 bits. Standard Editing Features include:

Cut/Paste/Delete Overlay/Insert/MixFade In/Out Volume Up/Down

Reverse Trigger Sampling Channel Swap / Stereo Pan Loopfade

The Editor can also perform more advanced forms of editing, such as sample Fourier analysis, special effects (including Echo, Flange, Reverb, Chorus and Distortion), Digital filtering (Band pass, low pass, high pass, and band stop) and resynthesize of samples to any other frequency.

MIDI Functions/Sample Sequencer

The MIDI menu transforms your Amiga into a flexible Multi-voice MIDI keyboard emulator. Samples can be assigned to any individual note or range of notes in a 7 octave range. Keyboards can then be saved as set for future use. There is also an easy to use, one track sample sequencer. This allows you to Rearrange/Remix your samples using a sample list style editor. Simply drop in the sample you have recorded and tell the program the number of times you want it to repeat, and you can produce fantastic remixes.

Also included is a complete MIDI interface for use with any MIDI instrument and commercial MIDIsoftware applications. The software package includes a powerful multitasking windowed sample editor with advanced editing and signal processing capabilities. The system can also perform real time effects processing as well as function as a MIDI sample sequencer.
