What is boring?

While we were installing MSVC/C++ 4.x at work we got this error message. Btw, we tried to install it in 3 days and we got all kind of other really boring messages too ;)

Is this the so called 'industy standard'? Making money on producing and marketing PC programs is ok but for my personal needs, I know what computer I prefer to use, and no, the answer is not a wintel clone.

Is this crap really that cool?
