SUNDAY'S FOOTBALL ON TV AND RADIO

PICKS OF THE DAY

Arsenal v Everton, Sky Sports 1 3.00pm

After nine straight wins Arsenal need to hold their nerve for just 90 minutes more to claim their first title since 1991. Arsene Wenger's men will end seven years of northern domination by taking the Premiership crown south for the first time if they beat Everton at Highbury. And at the same time they will send the Merseysiders sliding closer to the relegation trap door. Dennis Bergkamp is out, but Ian Wright is likely to be back, at least as substitute, and you wouldn't bet against him getting the goals to win the title, would you? Expect some magnificently OTT analysis from the mighty Andy Gray and even more hair spouting from the collar of Keys' crisp, white shirt if The Arse pull it off.

Dunfermline v Celtic 3.00pm ITV Scottish Regions
The match that could decide the title after Rangers' shock 1-0 hoem defeat yesterday. Celtic fans will be praying for their first title in ten years - but Dunfermline do need the points at the bottom.

Football League Stoke City v Manchester City 1.30pm

A relegation game of Russian roulette. If there's a winner, the other side is down. If it's a draw they both need to rely on other results to save them. Not a game for those with dodgy hearts. And who honestly believes Man City won't balls it up and go down? What? No-one?

EVERTON YOUTH
PUT SENIORS TO SHAME

THINGS are not so bad for relegation-threatened Everton.
Okay, so the senior side are enduring all sorts of traumas at the moment and face the daunting task of going to Highbury on Sunday home of soon-to-be crowned champions Arsenal desperately in need of survival points.
But at least the long-term future looks bright enough for the club, with their youth team half way towards claiming this year's FA Youth Cup after securing a 3-1 advantage in the first leg of the final against Blackburn at Ewood Park on Friday night.
In front of a crowd of 9,280, the Merseysiders went ahead after ten minutes when Phil Jevons dived forward to send a superb header beyond Gareth Stewart.
But Blackburn were level with an equally impressive goal scored by defender Martin Taylor, who turned smartly in the box to send a left-foot shot beyond Dean Delany.
There was controversy over the goal that gave Everton an interval lead, Blackburn disputing the free-kick from which first teamer Danny Cadamarteri powered home a header from 15 yards.
But Everton made the game safe with a spectacular third from Leon Osman mid-way through the second half and are now favourites to go on and take the trophy.
The second leg will be staged at Goodison Park next Thursday night. By which time the first team could be that much nearer becoming a First Division side.
