Trick or Treat

PD

This game is similar to Alien Breed 3D, but is two player only. You and your chum take control of some cute fat wizards, and have to romp around a random maze trying to dispose of each other. The reason tha game's called Trick or Treat, I presume is because, scattered around the levels are small `sheds', which when entered will either give you a trick, with which to use on your opponent, or a treat to aid your defence.

Sadly, your weapons are limited to just a machine gun each (Although they could be Magic Wands (?)), but the tricks and treats are pretty varied.

*Compass, oh yes, both you and your opponent have a compass which points in the approximate direction of your evil half-brother.

Managing to shoot your opponent results in him giving a most satisfying wimper, either a baby-like screem or a large-bloke style groan, depending on which player you are. Upon finally finishing off your chum, you get to witness his little body melt into a strange pile of guts and gore.

Speed-wise this game really zips along on an '030 6Mb 1200 (my system) but was also excitingly nippy on a standard A1200, even when run from my Hard drive. The movement was also smooth, if a little slow, on my trusty old A600, but the playability doesn't suffer.

Once again, I have to recommend this game greatly, a pity it's gameplay is limited - all the levels have the same wall and floor textures (Did I mention it's fully texture mapped, no?, well it is!), but with each level randomly generated it s not to bad.
