Introducing, the Blitz Support Suite from Red When Excited Ltd. The Blitz Support Suite (or BSS) is a
collection of professional development tools for the Blitz programmer, designed to help you make your
creations come to life!
The Blitz games programmer is again helped along with the REDMapEditor - a very powerful, yet easy to
use Map Editing System. As usual, an ARexx port is provided supporting the concept of external Loaders,
Savers and Operators. REDMapEditor is 100% OS legal and can be run in any screen mode including
graphics cards. A huge array of editing tools are available, ranging from simple 'draw with the mouse' to
rub-thu's, stencils and more. Example Loaders, Savers and Operators are providing - including a Loader
for BlitzBombers' levels! If you're game needs levels to be drawn, the REDMapEditor is THE utility of
choice.
For the games programmer, REDShapeZ is the most powerful graphics manipulation tool for Blitz coders.
With REDShapeZ, you can scan a picture and automatically grab Blitz 'shapes'. Comprehensive shape
editing tools are provided, for touching up graphics without a separate paint program. In additon, advanced
colour reduction and remapping functions are available. As if thats not enough, REDShapeZ has a fully
featured ARexx port which support external 'ShapeZ Servers' - providing support for many different file
formats. Several ShapeZ Servers are supplied, providing you with the ability to use compressed shapes,
shapes in 'Chunky' format and more.
REDBlitzLibs Version 5
Although Blitz provides many useful commands for prorammers, certain more advanced functions are not
possible. The REDBlitzLibs is the continuation of the famous 'RIBlitzLibs' - providing easy access to over
300 commands which range from adding AREXX ports to programs, adding Datatypes support,
Encryption, advanced DOS functions, easy memory 'bank' manipulation as well as a brand new Shape
format.
