ASwarm II V2.0 - Quick Install ASwarm II V2.0 provides "Load Config", "Save Config" features. It's no longer necessary to edit the Parameters of ASwarm II with the Tooltype Entries in the Icon with the "Information" function of the workbench. This features does only work, when you start ASwarm II from the workbench. REQUIREMENTS: ASwarm II 2.0 needs at least Workbench 2.0. It is recommended to use Version 2.1 or 3.0 of Workbench. Also, ASwarm II 2.0 needs the MUI System with at least Version 1.4. See MUI.readme and below. QUICK-INSTALL: If you don't have the Installer Tool, please follow the description in this text. The Installer Tool has been officially released by Commodore and you can get it from various places, i.e. the AmiNet or the Fred Fish AmigaLib Disks. It is free and was especially designed for installing packages. Copy "ASwarm" and "ASwarm.info" to the "SYS:WBStartup" drawer. Or just click and move (drag) the "ASwarm" icon to "SYS:WBStartup". CLI: Copy ASwarm ASwarm.info TO SYS:WbStartup QUICK-SETUP: Now start ASwarm with a double-click on it's icon. If the Config-Window doesn't show up, double-click the icon once more, this should open the window. If it still doesn't: have you been copying ASwarm, too, not just the Icon ? Edit all desired Parameters, e.g. number of bees, speed and Display Mode. Now use the "Save Config" in the "Project Menu" (or press "Right Amiga S"). The Configuration will be saved into the Icon. On next start, this Configuration will be used. Have fun with these new features. For interest: We use the Icon.library to access to the Tool Type Entries. This is only possible when ASwarm II is started from the workbench. Existing Tool Types Entries will be overwritten. MUI SPECIFIC: Please have in mind that the Edit Window of ASwarm can only be opened when the MUI system is installed. Refer to the file ReadMe.MUI. ONLINE HELP: To use the Online Help, there are three different ways: You copy the file "/English/ASwarm.guide" into the directory where ASwarm will be started. (Not recommended) Or you enhance the file ENV:AmigaGuide/Path (and ENVARC:AmigaGuide/Path) with the entry "/English". (Recommended if you want to install Doc-Files in a seperate directory) The Installer Tool copies the Guide-Files to the directory HELP:English; this is since WB 2.1 the default search path, you can do also.
