Now Follows a Module List and some infos: [0] - Means it will only look for a 4 byte header and a few other checks. [1] - Means it is only deep search type. [0/1] - Means it is both. Pro/NoiseTracker [0]: What's to say? StarTrekker4 [0]: This will rip the non-commercial version only. I don't have it (hint hint :) so therefore cannot rip it. I have only got one startrekker that has separate sample data. Games: Chaos Engine Main tune. Demos: ? MED/OctaMED [0/1]: Will rip both types as well as MED4 it will un-initalise them so that they can be played. Games: Most Ocean Products. eg Hook, Lethal Weapon ,Push Over, One step Beyond etc. Demos: ? SoundMon [0]: A format with both samples and syth-samples. Games: The Alien Breed-2 Special Edition from Team 17 and Dizzy. Demos: ? TFMX [0]: This is a nasty one to rip because you have to find the samples separately and they are usually not anywhere near the main part. Once you have found the samples using commands F and S the samples must start with a long word of zeros ie if you look at the start with the ripper's M command the samples must start with 4 pairs of zeros - 00000000. Once all this is done save the tune data as 'mdat.songname' and the samples as 'smpl.songname' The B and BC commands can be used to scan backwards to find the longword of zeros. TFMX has three different types, 1.5 which is the oldest and is now obsolete I believe, The most used is PRO which is a four channel module format. The last is TFMX-7 which is a seven channel replay and is commercial only. Games: X-Out,Z-Out, Turrican I-III, Apidya, Jim Power,R-Type. Demos: ? KRIS-4MAT [0]: Also called Chip Tracker is quite simple and is just a Protracker conversion. It can SOMETIMES be converted back but I Think it also has support for synthesized samples. Games: Troddlers, Dojo-Dan, Wolfchild, and the In-game tunes of Premiere Player 4.1A, Player 4.0A, Player 4.0B [0]: These are beta versions of a player that was distributed by the author to some of his friends and commercial companies managed to get hold of it. It is quite difficult to rip because it has to be un-initalised ie it uses addresses inside the actual module. IR will rip all of these including ones that have been relocated ie loaded into memory which is not the correct address. Games: Super Frog, Alien Breed 2. Demos: Absolute Inebriation. Digital Mugician [0]: This is also quite an old format Games: ? Demos: ? Synthesis/InStero [0]: This is Synthesis v4.0, also called InStero!, it is mainly a chip type tracker ie Synth sound hence the name. Games: Sarcophaser and Sanxion2000. Demos: ? Actionamics Sound Tool [0]: This is a chip type of format that has sample support. Games: DynaBlasters. (actually this is the ONLY tune that I know of anyone know any better ? ;) ) Demos: ? ProRunner1.0 [0]: This is basicaly a Speeded up Noisetracker replay that is slightly compressed. It does not contain all Protracker commands but can be converted back to PRO/NoiseTracker Games: ? Demos: Real from Complex and other demos. ProRunner2.0 [0]: This is more or less the same as ProRunner1.0 but it is slightly more compressed and is faster. It can also be converted back to ProTracker. Games: ? Demos: Delirium Intros, Cream by Absolute. Future Composer1.3 [0]: is an old format that is not used as much any more. Games: ? Demos: ? The tunes I have got come from Music Compos. Future Composer1.4 [0]: This is the newer version of FC1.3 Games: ? Demos: ? I don't Know where the tunes I have got are from. NoisePacker 3.0 [1]: This is ANOTHER Protracker/Noisetracker compressed format that is used mainly in demos by Phenomena. It does not support all protracker functions. Games: Paladin, Premiere End tune. Demos: Most of the Older Phenomena demos. NoisePacker 2.0 [1]: This is the outdated version of NoisePacker. Games: ? Demos: Even Older Phenomena demos. Oktalyzer1.56 [0]: An 8 Channel Music format. I think it is a commercial program. Games: ? Demos: ? I don't know where the tunes I have got came from. SidMon II [0]: It is the successor of SidMon 1 and is used in some demos and games, none that I can think of. It can play samples but is mainly used for synthesised samples. Games: ? Demos: ? Hippel-COSO [0]: The Ripper will get The main part of the Tune ie the pattern data and will give the length. The samples length is also given. The tunes I have got ALL had the sampledata right after the pattern data so when you save after finding a COSO it will save out the pattern data and the memory after the patterns of the samples length. Games: Wings of death ingame and Alcatraz. Demos: ? SonicArranger(pc) [0]: This is a Synthesised version of sonic arranger. It has the replay code in the module. Games: ? Demos: ? Sonic Arranger [0]: This is VERY simmilar in appearance to SA(pc) but it does not have the replay code in the module. It uses samples only (I think). Games: Lionheart. (It's the only one I know of) Demos: ? There is ANOTHER sonic arranger if you have any please SEND! SoundFX1.3 [0]: Yet ANOTHER ProTracker/Noisetracker Hack that is also faster nayh, nayh, etc etc. Games: TwinWorlds. Demos: ? IceTracker1.0 [0]: Yet ANOTHER Pro/Noise hack (GOD, don't these bloody people write enough of these replays??) Games: ? Demos: ? I have two Tunes, one that came with the program. PUMA Tracker [0]: Another chippy type format that is VERY small. Games: ? Demos: ? I have got two tunes and have No Idea Where They are From. Silents Tracker [1]: This is a slightly modified and optimized Protracker Replay. It was done by The Silents for their two games. It is also know as Digital Illusions tracker. Games: Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies. Demos: ? ProPacker 1.0a [0]: This has quite a story to it. The original was written by Azatoth of Phenomena. Then suddenly a new format called Hanni packer appeared and was credited to Hannibal of LEMON. But both Turbo and The people who do some of the deliplayers instantly release a player, not realising that it was just ProPacker 1.0a!! :-) It also a protracker hack and can be converted back. Games: ? Demos: Some Phenomena demos, Ib-O-Matic by Lemon. ProPacker 2.1 [1]: This is another (sigh :-) ) Protracker Hack improvement etc. That can also be converted back to Protracker. Games: ? Demos: RayWorld. ProPacker 2.X/3.0 [1]: This is another propacker BUT NOTHING CAN PLAY OR CONVERT THEM! They are NOT ProPacker 3.0 I also have another type that is similar but different to this one!! The third Type is by LSD rom the Grapevine magazines. These can be played. AKA Module Protector. Games: ? Demos: A small intro by infect. And the EuroCharts by Static Bytes. Grapevine Magazines. QuadraComposer AKA IFF-EMOD [0]: Another Protracker Type Games: ? Demos: ? None yet that I know of. Wanton Packer [0]: Another PT/NT hack. Games: ? Demos: ? JamCracker [0]: A nice little chippy type player. Games: ? Demos: The one I have I think is from a TRSI intro the tune is Comic Bakery. Major Tom 2.0B [0]: Another Funny type of synth player. Games: ? Demos: ? I don't Know where the one mod I have came From. Promizer 4.0 [0]: Another PT/NT clone/hack/improvement. Games: ? Demos: ? Demos are the main source of these. Promizer 1.x [1]: All Promizers are created by Frank Hulsman. This one he claims is quite tough to rip :-) in his docs for PROM1.8 it is PT conversion that contains the replay inside the actual module. It quite good in that it compresses a PT down quite a bit. Games: ? Demos: The Flower Power Demo by Jester of Sanity. Game Music Creator [1] ANOTHER replay that is a Protracker hack. It too was incorectly Identified as Psygonsis Special. Games: Air Support. Demos: ? P50A/P60A [0/1]: These are the release versions of the Player. It is a Protracker Hack but is VERY good and Fast. It offers very good compression not on just the tune data but also 4-bit Delta compression which causes some loss in quality but can get a module down by over 50% in most cases. It can be converted with its own converter that comes with the PD package. Games: Banshee Demos: Full Moon By Virtual Dreams. Big Time Sensuality By AXIS. AproSys [0]: This is an odd format that can have (I think) synth sounds in it. Games: ? Demos: ? The Tunes I have Came from the Program Itself. Tronic Tracker [1]: This is a chippy type format that was also incorectly Identified as a Custom mod until FOXX found out they were actually Tronic Tracker. Old Whittaker [0]: A synthesised player with the replay code in the Module. Games: ? Demos: ? The only tune I have is a conversion of Army Moves from the 64. It Might be from the Amiga Version but I have never seen it SO..... Delta Music2 [0]: This has the replay code inside the module it has samples only. Games: ? Demos: ? I have two tunes of DM2 but none of Delta Music ONE (hint, Hint :) ) NoiseRunner [0]: This is a strange module format because the tunes I have got give NO compression from a normal ProTracker. I think they are used to enable the programmer to trigger effects when a specific sample is played. Games: ? Demos: The one I can remember came from Jesterday, It's the main tune. UNIC-Tracker [0]: This is one of Laxity's first attempt at a new format. It is a slight improvement over ProTracker in size. I also think it is used to trigger demo effects. It is now no longer used but can be found in some old Kefrens Demos. Sometimes it will have M.K. instead of UNIC. It will therefore be found as ProTracker. Don't Worry though just use a hex-editor and change the M.K. to UNIC. Do this if the tune does not play as a ProTracker and it came from a Kefrens demo/intro/slideshow etc. Games: NONE. Demos: Only older Kefrens productions. UNIC-Tracker2 [1]: This is Laxity's second UNIC tracker it is even smaller that the previous one it is also used to trigger effects. Games: NONE. Demos: New Kefrens productions. AMOS Basic Konverter [0]: This is the converter that comes with AMOS. I have not yet seen it but I do have some Modules. At the time of Typing no player other that the AMOS one exists. Games: ? Demos: ? UPC Module [0]: This is interesting. It is by Dens-Design a group of demo musicians who write music for commercial games. Nothing can Play or Convert them back to ProTracker. UPC stands for - Unknown Protracker Clone :) Games: Cool Spot by Virgin. This is the Only Known source so far. Demos: ? Vector Dean [0]: This is a very strange format. It is used in games only and has two parts a Pattern Data part and a Sample Part. They must be saved separately the Pattern MUST be called xxxxxxx.SNG and the Samples MUST be called xxxxxxx.INS to be able to play them in DeliTracker. Insanity Rip will find the first part. It will then try to find the samples in memory it will give the address of ALL possible samples if more than one exists. The only advice I can give is try them ALL!! Save it out using the addresses given to you by the ripper Games: Cannon Fodder (Absolutely Amazing Music), RoboCod 2/3 (I'm not sure if other ones also use Vector Dean) Aquatic Games, Brutal Sports Football. Demos: ? Take/Fast Tracker [0]: This is an 8 Channel ProTracker clone it looks a LOT like a PT mod but it's patterns are twice the size. It is from PC :( Games: ? Demos: ? - PC ones Maybe? PowerMusic [0]: A Protracker Clone. Games: ? Demos: ? TrackerPacker 2.0 [1]: This is a ProTracker compressed format from Complex. I don't Know if this version is used very much any more. Games: ? Demos: ? I only have the one tune that came with EaglePlayer1.52 TrackerPacker 3.0 [0]: This is a newer version of TrackerPacker2.0 from Complex. Games: ? Demos: Both Razor1911 40KB intros from Assembly94, one of the other Intros whose name is so long I'm not even going to bother! And the HardDay demo from the Demo competition side of ASS94. SoundFX2.0 [0]: Games: ? Demos: ? The two tunes that I have I got from Deli (Hi Peter ;) ) I have no idea where they are from. Activision Pro: [1] AKA Martin Walker Games: D-Generation , Legends Of Valor, R-Type 2 Demos: ? This is another yucky format with the player in the module. JTR will detect both the cut and uncut versions of this format. Exotic Ripper cuts off a few bytes from the begining of each module, this is quite pointless... I am in desparate need of new formats so if you have any PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME!!!!! or at least tell me where to find them. -IW We can be reached at: Insane Warrior: Internet: guest1@alpha.ru.ac.za Please use this if you can because this country's postal service is the worst in the WORLD!
