============================== TONGA ============================== Tonga is situated about 20 degree south of the Equator and just west of the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean. It comprises over 170 islands, only about one-fifth of which are inhabited. The climate is warm, with heavy rainfall. Yams, cassava and taro are grown as subsistence crops, and fish from the sea supplements the diet. Bananas and coconuts are grown for export. The main industry is coconut processing. Area (Sq.
