Its main assets are its magnificent natural harbour and its position close to the main trading routes to the Pacific. Hotels: There is an excellent selection of hotels, but due to intensive interest on the part of visitors wanting to see the country before it reverts to Chinese rule. Resorts and excursions: Hong Kong is a major tourist destination in it's own right as well as being one of the worlds business centre's. A tour of the New Territories takes about six hours and a tour of Hong Kong about 4 hours.
