============================== GHANA ============================== Ghana is located in West Africa between the Ivory Coast and Togo. It has palm-fringed beaches of white sand along the Gulf of Guinea. The climate on the coast is equatorial, and towards the north there are steamy tropical evergreen forests that give way in the far north to tropical savanna. The landscape becomes harsh and barren near the border with Burkina. In the south, cocoa, rubber, palm oil and coffee are grown. Ghana has important mineral resources, such as manganese and bauxite.
