============================== BURUNDI ============================== Burundi is a small densely populated country in central east Africa, bounded by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east and south, and Zaire to the west. It has a mountainous terrain, with much of the country above 1500m. The climate is equatorial modified by altitude. The soils are not rich, but there is enough rain to grow crops in most areas. The main food crops are bananas, sweet potatoes, peas, lentils and beans. The main cash crop is coffee, accounting for 90% of Burundi's export earnings. Area (Sq.
