›1;31;40m Emotional Conflict ›3;33;40m By Asa Margetts ›3;32;40m 1995 Firstrate Effex Note: Technical and other useful information can be found by selecting the "Credits" option from the game's main menu system. On some Amigas, the "Credits" option from the main menu may crash your computer. This is due to kickstart problems. Although this game should work on all one megabyte or above Amigas, I have only actually managed to test it on the following: Amiga 500 Plus 2 Meg Chip Amiga 500 1.3 1 Meg Chip Amiga 600 2.05 1 Meg Chip Amiga 1200 3.00 2 Meg Chip Although this is Public Domain Freeware, which means you have the right to copy it freely (As long as NO changes are made to the game or files in any way), a lot of time and effort has gone into producing this. If you wish to show your appreciation in anyway, send some money to a decent charity. Introduction ------------ Emotional Conflict is a mouse point and click adventure game. Details of the plot can be found during the game. Control your movements with the mouse, both buttons can be used, which is useful if one of your mouse buttons has become knackered. Panels and Controls ------ --- -------- During the game, a message panel will appear informing you of your actions. The main control panel at the bottom of the screen is easy to use. Here's the following information on what each of the icons/control panels do: -- First Icon; Inventory: -- Will display everything that you are holding. It Will display this in the main information window. -- Second Icon; Take/Pickup: -- Click this, followed by what you wish to take. -- Third Icon; Information Panel: -- This mainly displays your inventory. It may also give you some helpful tips along the way. -- Fourth Icon; Music/Sound: -- Click this to select between sound effects and the few music types. -- Fifth Icon; Quit/Exit back to the menu: -- Go on, guess! To exit rooms, simply click on the doors. This also works for examining things, just click on it. Some things you examine may automatically take the object as well, such as if you examine drawers, it may automatically take its contents. To exit messages, also click the mouse. Trouble Loading/running ------- --------------- This game should work on all ONE MEG or above Amigas. If you have problems running the game, this will most likely be due to memory restrictions. You could try one or more of the following: Disconnect extra drives Turn off your hard disk Get more memory Disconnect printers and other extensions. If the game exits half way through, this is because the game eats up a lot of memory and basically you ain't got enough of it to eat. Copyright --------- This game is Public Domain Freeware, this means it can be distributed in anyway as long as NO files are changed in anyway and all of the original files are included. If you run a Public Domain library and decide to include this in your library, I would appreciate you letting me know. Any magazines may feel free to use this on their coverdisks, review it in PD or anyone else can stick it on a CD or BBS if they wish. Don't forget, let me know and make me happy! Damage ------ I take no responsability for any damage this program may cause. It should not cause any as it does not need to write to disk, however, if you decide to install it onto a hard disk and there's data loss or any type of damage, do NOT blame me. Remember! -------- This game is Public Domain Freeware, so excuse any bugs, bad programing, or anything like that. Remember I'm NOT getting any money for this. This game has also been squashed onto ONE disk, so if you finish it easily, found out it's quite small, don't blame me as it's only a small game man! If you want a four disker, commercial quality game, go out and buy one! Setup ----- "And for those of you who like this type of thing" as I read somewhere else, here's my setup: Amiga 500 Plus Two Meg chip of memory Three external disk drives PowerScanner Citizen 120D+ printer (Don't laugh!) ------------------------------------------------------ 1995 Firstrate Effex ; Copyright Asa Margetts 1995 FFFFF IIIII RRRRR SSSSS TTTTT RRRRR AAAAA TTTTT EEEEE F I R R S T R R A A T E FFF I R R SSSSS T R R A A T EEE F I R RR S T R RR AAAAA T E F IIIII R R SSSSS T R R A A T EEEEE EEEEE FFFFF FFFFF EEEEE X X E F F E X X EEE FFF FFF EEE X E F F E X X EEEEE F F EEEEE X X ------------------------------------------------------------- Greetz fly off to: Andrew 'Mushroom' Kellett, along with his trusty sidekick Millie T.
