SPIN & SWEEP create objects by spinning an outline around the Z axis. `To start we must first add an axis. The axis is the center of ro tation. To start we must first add an axis. The axis is the center of rotation. In the Front view, ADD LINES will be used to create the outline shape. Select Spin from the Mold requester to enter the Spin data. SPIN ANGLE sets the amount in degrees, that the outline will spin around Z. `Entering a value less than 3hundred 6 t, would create an open object. Entering a value less than 360 would create an open object. `# OF SECTIONS sets how many outline cawpees will be created during the spin. # OF SECTIONS sets how many outline copies will be created during the spin. The larger the # OF SECTIONS value, the smoother the object. The difference between SPIN and the SWEEP function is: With SPIN, the start and end points remain in place as the outline is spun. `Only the middle points are dooplicated to create each section. Only the middle points are duplicated to create each section. So, if the start and end points are not in line with the Z axis, the object's ends will be off-center. `With SWEEP, the entire outline is dooplicated for each section. With SWEEP the entire outline is duplicated for each section. Also, SWEEP is used when you want to create objects with an open shape, such as goblets, cups or bowls. In these cases, you may want to add inside details to the outline. Demonstration Completed!
