A simple flat or outline shape can be given thickness by using Extrude.
First, make sure the object to extrude is picked.
Then select Extrude from the Mold requester.
TO LENGTH mode, lets you enter a value to set thickness or depth.
The LENGTH value represents a distance along the Y axis.
ALONG PATH mode, extrudes an outline by following the shape of a path.
This mode is explained in the Path Extrude demonstration.
Normally, extrusion results in a single section, between the 2 ends.
You can set the number of SECTIONS to create for the extrusion here.
Y ROTATION, rotates the object along its Y axis during extrusion.
X AND Z SCALING lets you taper or enlarge the outline during extrusion.
