Setting up Gradient Fill demonstration.. To set up the Gradient Fill demonstration, we must create a range of colors. This area shows the gradient as it would look in HAM mode. Another window displays the gradient actually possible with the current colors. You can copy a range by clicking Un do directly after going to an empty range. Reversing a range, changes the direction of the gradient as well. Click the Fill tool with the right button or Press Shift-F, to display the Fill Type requester. This area of the requester lets you select from different gradient fills. The current gradient range is displayed in this box. Clicking Random causes the gradient to be randomly dithered, or blended. The dithering slider is only usable when Random is checked. With Random off, an ordered pattern is used for dithering. There are 3 basic gradient fill types: Horizontal, paints the gradient from left to right. `Use the keyboard equivalents,Alt Left&Right braket, 2 select different ranges. Use the keyboard equivalents, Alt-[ & Alt-], to select different ranges. Vertical, paints the gradient up & down. Horizontal Line, adjusts the horizontal gradient to follow a shape's contours. The other types of fills, Linear and Radial, provide additional control. Line & Shape, are Linear type fills. Circular, Contours & Highlight are Radial. Line, fills a shape with a linear gradient, ignoring the shape. An adjustment line lets you set the direction of the gradient. Shape, creates a linear gradient that is affected by shape. Circular, fills with a circular gradient & ignores the shape of the fill area. Clicking the pointer adjusts the center of this radial gradient. Contour, creates a radial gradient that follows the contours of the fill area. Highlight, is like Contour, but is used to create highlighting effects. Demonstration Completed!
