THE WRIGHT BROTHERS

Orville (1871-1948) and Wilbur(1867-1912) Wright were America's foremost
flying pioneers. They first had an interest in gliding while running a
bicycle repair shop in Dayton. They flew their first aeroplane at
Kittyhawk,N.C on 17 December 1903 - the first controlled flight made by a
heavier than air machine.
