TUTANKHAMEN EXCAVATION

In 1922, the tomb of Tutankhamen, the boy king was discovered in the Valley
of the Kings by Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter at Luxor. The richness of
the find including the soild gold coffin captured the imagination of the
world, as it was the first tomb relatively undisturbed by grave robbers.
