SIGMUND FREUD
(1856-1939)

Austrian_Jewish origin born in Freiburg,Moravia. Freud was the originator of
pschoanalysis. He lived in Vienna until 1939 then fled to Britain after the
Nazis incorporated Austria into Greater Germany. He worked at first with
hynotism but then developed a technique called "free association", though
some of his theories are controversial today.
