ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING
(1806 - 1861)

British poet. Born nr. Durham nee Barrett. In 1844 she published her first
peoms which led to her secret marriage to Robert Browning (poet) in 1846.
She moved with her husband to Italy where she continued with some her finest
work including the poetic novel AURORA LEIGH (1857).
