Discoverer of America. Born at genoa,Italy he settled in Portugal in 1478.
Supported by the King of Spain he led an expedition to discover a western
trade route to India but instead discovered Cuba,Trinidad and other islands
paving the way for the future exploration of the whole North American
continent.
